Diamond Recovery

Recover the diamonds from your old gold, platinum and palladium jewellery before the metal is refined.

Diamond Recovery

Old and unwanted diamond-set jewellery holds two kinds of value: the precious metal and the stones. Our diamond recovery service separates the two, so your diamonds come back to you and the metal is paid for at the daily fix.

Your items are processed under careful supervision from start to finish. Once the diamonds have been recovered they are returned to you, and the remaining metal is melted, assayed and settled in the usual way, turning outdated stock back into working capital for your business.

Before you send: please keep gold, platinum and palladium items in separate parcels, and remove any pearls, opals or other soft or treated stones you want to keep. Silver jewellery cannot be processed this way. We will ask you to sign a diamond recovery agreement before any work begins.

Hard stones such as sapphires and rubies are usually unaffected, but softer or treated gems can discolour or be damaged. Pearls and opals will not survive the process, so please have them removed first if you want to keep them.

Yes. Platinum is a very hard metal, so recovery from platinum settings takes longer than from gold.
